‘Scroogled’ merchandise is the latest in a line of attacks on Google

Microsoft opens Google-bashing merchandise web store

Microsoft has launched an online store selling anti-Google merchandise.

The site’s ‘Scroogled’ range features mugs, T-shirts, hats and hoodies with slogans such as ‘Keep calm while we steal your data’ alongside Google’s Chrome browser logo.

Others simply say ‘Scroogled’ in a font identical to the Google logo.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has taken a dig at Google, earlier this year it launched a marketing campaign claiming Google’s Gmail service violates users’ privacy. Microsoft also previously made a video parodying one if Google’s Chrome adverts.

It’s not just Google either, Microsoft took a swipe at Apple in a series of Surface tablet adverts earlier this year.
