Company speaks up following announcements from competing distributors

Midwich: ‘We have best Managed Print offering’

Distributor Midwich has outlined its "plan of attack" on the Managed Print market following announcements from rival distributors.

The firm says it has a ‘comprehensive offering that makes full use of the company’s 30-plus years of print expertise and can put together the best solution for the end user’.

It says it has made an announcement to ensure resellers are not left "short changed" by other MPS offerings.

Midwich works with print vendors including Lexmark, OKI, Konica Minolta, KYOCERA, PaperCut, Ricoh and Samsung, and has dedicated brand specialists to ensure "resellers get the best possible deals and support".

Jonathon Francis, business manager for Midwich, said: “We have been monitoring the MPS market for a while and looking at how we can bring a solution to the IT reseller channel. While there are recently launched offerings for toner fulfilment, our findings on this offering have shown challenges in the management of spiralling carriage costs.

"We believe working with a software solution like PaperCut will give you far better print management offering to start your movement into MPS. PaperCut has sold over 50,000 licenses worldwide, so it’s a tried and tested solution that is leading the way in the MPS market and a proven choice for our resellers.”

Francis added: "We believe that by working with the IT resellers and our vendor partners we can put together the very best solution for the end user. If the end user wants a multi-fleet offering from Midwich, again we have the capability to bring this together, however it is working on these opportunities in partnership, which will deliver the very best results.

“All Midwich requires is for our partners to bring us potential MPS opportunities, we will then evaluate who we believe is the best partner and the best solution for the end user.”
