Lenses will be available to the public by January

Google Glass prescription lenses to launch in 2014

Glass Explorer Tim Moore is heading up a project to bring prescription lenses to Google’s wearable tech next year.

The first opticians to offer the lenses will be New York-based Rochester Optical. "We’ll be ready to start selling these to the public, at the latest, by January," Moore told Mashable.

"The arm mount will fit Google Glass perfectly, and it will be available in a number of colours that will match Glass colours."

Google is not involved in the project in any way.
