Ken Levine says that seeing explicit fan art is ‘like coming across a picture of your daughter’

‘Please stop making BioShock porn. You’re killing me,’ pleads creator

Ken Levine, the man behind BioShock: Infinite, has pleaded with fans to stop making pornographic fan art of heroine Elizabeth.

Responding to questions during a Reddit AMA to promote the game’s upcoming Burial at Sea DLC, Levine said that finding the explicit pictures on sites such as Deviantart was “like coming across a picture of your daughter.”

“Seriously, whoever is doing the Elizabeth porn on deviantart, please stop it. You’re killing me,” he said, before adding: “I die a little inside with every page view.”

The response came after one fan commented that the style of Burial at Sea was “looking to be Film Noir.”

“I expect future DLC installments to follow various genres such as Spaghetti Western and Romantic Comedy. Thoughts?” he asked Levine.

In reply, Levine joked that future DLC was “going to be porn. Lots and lots of porn.”

During the AMA, Levine was also asked if he had tried out Valve’s recently announced Steam Controller.

“Yup,” he said. “ [It’s an] amazing piece of tech.”

“I’m very excited about the prospect of SteamOS,” he said in response to another question, referring to the Linux-based operating system revealed by Valve before the Controller.
