Wikipad game tablet hits UK this month

Distributor MSE Group will launch the Wikipad gaming tablet in the UK and Ireland this month, which aims to fill a “huge hole” in the mobile gaming space.

Having hit the US earlier this year, the tablet will now go on sale in the UK on September 27th.

Fraser Townley, president of sales at Wikipad, told PCR: “Half of tablet usage is gaming and we believe the Wikipad does this better than any other tablet. The exclusive and patented removable controller, upgradeable storage and our focus on gaming makes the Wikipad different from other tablets.”

“We believe we have carved an exciting niche that fills a huge hole in the mobile gaming space.”

The Wikipad is specifically designed for mobile gaming, featuring an Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor with a quad core CPU. Its lightweight removable controller features standard game pad controls, including dual-analog sticks, buttons, D-pad, bumpers and triggers.

Users can download games via the Google Play Store, Amazon App Store, the Nvidia Tegrazone and Sony PlayStation Mobile.
