Apple iOS 7 launch date confirmed

Apple has announced that the latest version of its iPhone and iPad operating system, iOS 7, will be out on September 18th.

Apple CEO Tim Cook made the announcement at Apple’s latest press conference today (September 10th), during which the latest iPhone models, the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, were announced.

iOS 7, which was outed at WWDC, revamps the user interface for users, providing features such as a swipe-up command centre and dynamic ‘parallax’ wallpapers.

The operating system will be compatible with the iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, the iPad Mini and the fifth-generation iPod Touch.
