Samsung event revealing the Galaxy Gear is due to start at 2pm GMT tomorrow

Watch Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch event – live

Tomorrow (September 4th), Samsung will reveal the long-awaited Galaxy Gear smartwatch, with the event streamed live online.

Following the Gear’s official announcement last week, the Gear will be unveiled at noon ET (5pm GMT) at Samsung’s dedicated event in Berlin, two days ahead of the IFA consumer electronics fair.

The reveal will put to bed months of rumours (see here for all the gathered facts and leaks), including suggestions that the smartwatch will have a 2.5 to 3.5-inch OLED screen, integrated Wi-Fi, over ten hours of battery life and come preinstalled with apps for tracking health and social media.

The event is scheduled to last two hours, and can be watched live from 5pm GMT onwards tomorrow on CNET’s stream.
