Synology has announced the availability of its latest NAS operating system, DiskStation Manager 4.3.
The operating system runs on DiskStation and RackStation and fully supports Windows Offloaded Data Transfer (ODX) technology to accelerate file copy and move operations.
Other features include Speed Limit Scheduler to streamline IT management, Cloud Station – which simplifies file sync and share functionality, and enhanced mobile support for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
“With DSM 4.3, the technologies that used to be affordable and accessible only to large enterprises are now within reach of small and medium businesses and individuals,” said Vic Hsu, CEO of Synology Inc.
“It also enables a smarter home cloud that hosts all your photos, music, and videos, and pushes them to different devices.”
Synology DSM 4.3 is free to download for users who own a DiskStation or RackStation x10 series and onward.
