NAS manufacturer also appoints five other members of staff

Synology UK hires new sales manager and more

Network Attached Storage (NAS) manufacturer Synology has bolstered its UK team with six new appointments, including sales manager Kalpesh Savdas (pictured).

He will travel the country visiting distributors and resellers, and joins Synology after many years as an account manager within the web hosting industry.

Other hires include three technical helpdesk consultants, a product manager and an RMA specialist.

Greg Langford joins the team as product manager after six years in the IT sector, and is responsible for internal and external product training. His specialities include Linux, networking, programming and scripting.

In addition, Billy Knowles has joined the helpdesk team as a consultant. He has worked for more than 10 years in the IT industry and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. Timothy Dring has also become a technical helpdesk consultant and is Synology’s Mac expert, while Stefan Ferrari joins as a technical helpdesk consultant, too, with prior experience within the health care sector. Ferrari’s specialisms include server setup and management.

Finally, Keith King joins Synology as part of the RMA team, mainly supporting XS+ customers who receive exclusive support through the Synology SRSE programme.

Joanne Plummer, marketing specialist at Synology, said: "This is a very exciting time for us; we’ve doubled in size since I joined. And with a growing technical support department and our RMA team delivering an even better, swifter service then before, Synology users know that they are getting the full package when buying our products.”
