Dixons is launching a new service allowing customers to receive products from Currys & PC World the same day that they’ve ordered them.
Orders made before 9:30am will reach the customer between 6:30pm and 10pm that evening.
The retailer has also improved its next-day delivery service and added a Sunday delivery for small boxes.
Same-day and Sunday delivery will cost £14.99, with next-day delivery costing £4.99.
The new services will launch in London, Greater London and other selected post codes with the aim to expand to other areas of the country.
Back in June, Dixons boss, Sebastian James, revealed it has been a great year for the retailer, with underlying profits up by 15 per cent and UK and Ireland profits up by 39 per cent.
"The year ahead offers many fantastic opportunities for us and we have plans which touch every part of our business to make things better, easier and faster,” he commented.
Dixons Travel has just unveiled its new-look store at Gatwick Airport, featuring 10-inch tablet ‘look books’ and floating screens.
