New camera details found in iOS 7 code

Apple slow-motion camera could feature on iPhone 6

Apple is actively working on a slow-motion camera codenamed ‘Mogul’.

According to 9to5Mac, the camera can capture video at 120 frames per second. The current iPhone camera can only capture 30.

The publication was told about the possibility of the camera via Hamza Sood, who found hidden references inside of the latest iOS 7 beta.

If the camera can indeed shoot video at 120 frames per second, this would enable the ability to play it back at a slower speed.

9to5Mac states that after testing, it believes the feature would not be coming to Apple’s current smartphone, the iPhone 5, as the hardware does not support it. It also reports that code and text string suggests the feature would be an option, much like filters or shooting options in the iOS 7 camera app.

It was revealed today that Apple has switched fonts for iOS 7, with fans welcoming the change.
