Simon Guilfoyle, MD of Ace Computers in Morecambe, talks about what the firm offers its customers.

Tell us about your business – what products and services do you offer?

We often tell our customers that we are a mini PC World with loads of stock on the shelf. 

We strive to give all our customers a personal level of service combined with the best advice we can offer, thus we experience high levels of word of mouth recommendation and repeat custom from our customer base.

We offer most types of IT services to all our domestic, business and trade customers whilst also being flexible enough to incorporate new concepts into our range of offerings. 

Who are your customers?

Primarily our customers are home users who fall foul of viruses and hardware malfunctions. We also have a number of trade and SME business customers who will call us to provide solutions to network problems and to source products for direct shipment to site. 

How has business been?

Steady! It is a difficult marketplace to be in with the trend for portable device ownership increasing all the time, but we have built a solid reputation for quality custom-built PCs, repair services and business support. The challenge facing us now is to provide as many services as possible to integrate the portable device market into our daily activities. 

What’s coming up for you in 2013?

We are currently going through a period of trying to improve the way that we work within the shop and as always we are constantly looking at new sales opportunities through new product offerings – CCTV and home security systems seem to be a market area on the up and is something we are experiencing more demand for.

What are the benefits of trade organisations like Synaxon?

We offer a wide range of stock off the shelf and if we haven’t got it we can probably get it the next day from our vast supplier network.
