Ascend P6 measures 6.18mm and runs Android Jelly Bean

World’s thinnest smartphone, Huawei Ascend P6, available from TalkTalk

TalkTalk Mobile has announced that Huawei’s Ascend P6 smartphone is now available, with prices starting at £20 a month.

The P6 is deemed the ‘world’s thinnest smartphone’, measuring 6.18mm. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and an 8MP camera.

Huawei loves world firsts, and announced the world’s fastest 4G LTE smartphone, the Ascend P2, at the beginning of 2013. The beginning of the year also saw the firm unveil what it claim was the world’s biggest smartphone, the Ascend Mate, which measured a monster 6.1-inches diagonally.

Now the world’s thinnest smartphone is available from TalkTalk Mobile with price plans starting at £20 a month for 100 minutes, 250 texts and 200MB of data on a 24 month contract.

There’s also some more Huawei news from TalkTalk today, as the technology manufacturer’s Ascend Y210 smartphone has been bundle with its MediaPad Lite 7 tablet for the first 300 to buy the phone online. The offer starts at £10 a month.
