CMS Distribution has won exclusive rights for Connected Data’s new private cloud storage solution in Europe.
Transporter from Connected Data is a private cloud storage device for syncing, sharing, accessing, and protecting data. The device was brought to market in 2013 and Connected Data has received more than $6 million in venture capitalist funding to date.
Transporter offers the same excellent user experience of popular cloud services such as Dropbox but with one major difference – data is only stored on the user’s own Transporter and authorised computers and is never stored in the cloud.

Mike Collins has also been appointed Head of European channel sales at Connected Data. Mike brings more than 20 years experience in UK channel sales working with storage brands including Overland, Quantum and Drobo. He joins the company directly from Rimage where he held the position of Regional Sales Director North & Eastern Europe & Middle East for over two years.
