Following the leak of a number of spin-off Samsung Galaxy smartphones yesterday, images of the S4 Active have surfaced online.
Uncovered by GSMArena, the images reveal the long-rumoured shock and water-resistant handset, complete with its tougher outer shell.
In addition to the device’s appearance, the leaked pictures also confirmed speculation of the Active’s specifications, with the device shown to be powered by a quad-core 1.9GHz processor and Adreno 320 GPU.
The Active will also sport the same five-inch, 1080p screen as the original Galaxy S4. However, the device will incorporate a downgraded 8MP rear camera.
On the surface, the Active is an entirely new device to the original Galaxy S4, opting for a metallic shell, along with a number of hardware buttons below the screen.
Samsung has yet to confirm the device, but with the device now shown to be in existence, an announcement from the South Korean firm is expected shortly.
