PCR Boot Camp Partner Spotlight: Entatech

Jon Atherton, group vice president and director at Entatech, gives his predictions for the year ahead and tell us what to expect from Enta at this year’s PCR Boot Camp…

How important is it for UK retailers and resellers to connect well with customers?

It is essential for resellers and retailers to connect well with customers as competition is fierce and exceptional customer service needs to be high on everyone’s priority. Companies need to identify and satisfy their customer’s needs and strive to give each customer the kind of personal service that’ll keep them coming back for more and build a loyal following.

What do you see being the key issues facing PC retailers in 2013?

As in 2012 consumers will continue to expect more from both online and on the High Street with regard to price and convenience, and the competition to secure market share will be as fierce as ever. The only inevitability will be that online sales will continue to grow. Our resellers should view www.xpressplatforms.com, a customisable shop front in which customers can sell online simply, quickly and effectively. This content management system will allow companies to increase their product offering online.

What products/services will you be promoting at the event this year?

We will be showcasing our diverse product portfolio and value-add opportunities as well as delivering some fantastic training on Office 365 in partnership with Microsoft. We will also be promoting our next EntaLive event, which is being held at the Intel HQ on 18th June.

Why should retailers look out for on your stand at PCR Retail Boot Camp?

We have a double width stand this year so we can showcase as many of our brands involved as possible. People will be able to discuss their needs direct with our key vendors and Enta account managers. We will also be offering some fantastic giveaways and promotions from the likes of Microsoft, Fujitsu and Zotac, to name but a few!

What are the key brands you carry?

All of our brands are key to us but we are particularly proud to be exclusive distributors in the UK for Zotax, XFX, Sandberg, Swann , Arctic, Gainward, Powercolor, Fractal design, Securix and Digittrade.

What are your predictions for the business in 2013?

I would say another increase in online sales (especially from mobile platforms), particularly thanks to the introduction of technology such as 4G. The consumer in 2013 will respond to retailers that provide the opportunity to buy innovative products. To take advantage of the opportunity retailers will need to continue to innovate and invest in technology to ensure the digital process is a smooth and seamless one.

What distinguishes you from your competitors?

We thrive on being proactive and responsive to our customers’ needs with the latest technologies. We constantly reviewing and adding to our already diverse product portfolio and research ways to improve the customer experience. We continually invest in marketing and feel we can offer the best possible distribution solution to our customers without losing the personal, friendly approach that we pride ourselves on. What distinguishes any company is the staff. Over 80% of Entatech sales staff have worked at Enta for over 6 years. Their experience, product knowledge and enthusiasm are second to none.

What are you looking forward to most at Boot Camp?

As the platinum sponsor, we will be taking full advantage of this fantastic opportunity to not only network with the hundreds of businesses who will be in attendance, but also, hopefully, establish new, lasting relationships which will help both our business and that of our customers’ to flourish.
