Game retailers experienced their busiest weekend of the year over the Easter period.
Blockbuster titles BioShock: Infinite and Tomb Raider were to thank for the surge, which saw 743,045 units sold over the weekend, marking a 47 per cent increase in boxed video games on the previous week, reports MCV.
It was also one of the busiest release weeks for some time, with Luigi’s Mansion 2 (No.5 in the charts), Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel (No.6), Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 (No.8), LEGO City Undercover (No.13) and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (No.31) joining the chart topper BioShock: Infinite on the shelves.
