Bryan appointed new Micro-P MD

Micro-P has promoted Paul Bryan to managing director, while Gerry O’Keeffe has been appointed group managing director.

Bryan has over 22 years of experience in the sector – eight of those as sales director at the distributor, while O’Keefe has been MD at the distributor for the past four years.

The move comes as Micro-P moves into a new financial year, passing the £1billion turnover level.

The key commercial reports into Bryan are; Mike Buley, retail director; Mark Kahr, purchasing director; Simon Woodman, mobile director and Phil Brown, commercial director.

Bryan commented: “It gives me great personal pride in stepping up into this role as I have so much respect and admiration for the Micro-P team. We have achieved a great deal together and are well placed for an exciting future.”

O’Keeffe is moving into a specially created role, as Micro P Group Managing Director. Reporting into O’Keeffe, will be the MDs of Micro P, Shartptext in Ireland, Go Connect in Benelux, Advent Data in Leeds and Arc Telecom in the Middle East.

O’Keeffe added: “Paul becoming MD of Micro P is a natural evolution given his status and influence in the business.” He went on to state, “Micro P Group has enjoyed spectacular growth over recent years and we have very clear plans to continue this growth curve, both organically within Micro P and via acquisition. Paul’s appointment is a key step in creating the structures that will support further growth.”

Separately, Micro P recently announced that Tekdata Distribution Limited was being re-branded as Micro P Security and will trade as such forthwith. Jason Hill, previously Sales Director of Tekdata Distribution Limited, will continue to lead the Stoke-based security team as Director of MP Security.
