PCR BOOT CAMP: Increasing insolvencies means good advice is imperative for retail

Retail has been one of the hardest hit sectors in the first quarter of 2013, having seen an increase in the number of insolvencies despite the wider market seeing a 10.2 per cent fall.

Figures from PriceWaterhouseCoopers show that 407 retail outlets registered as insolvent in the last quarter – an increase of 1.75 per cent over the previous year, compared to a 10.1 per cent decline in the wider market – and included retail chains such as HMV, Republic and Blockbuster.

With retail under more pressure than many other sectors, now more than ever it’s important that retailers evaluate their business models and consider whether they’re engaging their customers in the right way.

Fortunately for the IT sector, the PCR Boot Camp offers a way to do just that – it’s free to attend and offers the chance to hear from real retail experts who can offer advice and allows retailers to network with partners from across the industry, both old and new.

If you’re interested in attending the event, which is held on Wednesday May 29th at The Brewery on Chiswell Street, London, then head over to www.pcrbootcamp.com where you can register online.
