Consumer electronics brand Yarvik has entered the smartphone market

Yarvik rolls out new Ingenia smartphones

The new Ingenia products are designed to offer smartphones for people who want to stay connected on the go, at an affordable price.

The SMP53-210 Ingenia X1 comes with a 5.3-inch capacitive multi-touch display. The slightly smaller SMP45- 210 Ingenia Synchro has a 4.5-inch capacitive multi-touch display, but both models have the same qHD resolution.

The new Ingenia line also boasts a dual-core processor and dedicated graphics chip. An interesting feature is the presence of two sim slots. Yarvik says both models are ‘truly dual-sim’, meaning dual stand-by. You can have two phone numbers active and you can receive calls on both. The phone will ask users what number they want to use when making calls or texts.

One sim card slot provides full 3G (HSDPA) capabilities with a download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps.

They also come equipped with Bluetooth 2.1 for use with a wireless Bluetooth keyboard, headset or carkit.

On the inside lies the proven Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which has been optimised for Ingenia.

Yarvik has also preloaded the award-winning value apps ES File Explorer, OfficeSuite Mobile and FBReader, while the Google Play Store application market is also part of the standard package.

Yarvik’s Ingenia phones are available now from Computer 2000.
