New app includes a number of Windows 8-centric features

Twitter launches official Windows 8 and RT app

Twitter has finally launched its first official app for Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows RT.

The app has a number of Windows 8-centric features, including support for Windows 8 Share and Search, snap view (enabling you park the app on the side of the screen), live titles, and notifications.

The Discover tab uses Windows 8’s horizontal layout to display individual tweets and photos. Tapping a photo brings up a full-screen view, and you can also view a photo gallery from your favourite users from within the app.
