Dell XPS 10 tops iFixit’s ‘tablet repairability’ list; Surface Pro comes last

Yesterday, iFixit released its first ‘tablet repairability’ list, revealing that the Dell XPS 10 is the easiest tablet out there to repair.

Closely followed by the Kindle Fire and the Dell Streak, the XPS 10 scored an impressive 9/10 due to its easy-to-open lid and removable battery.

The same could not be said for Microsoft’s Surface Pro which scored a measly 1. Read more about the difficulties of opening up the Windows 8 tablet here.

Apple didn’t fair much better, the iPad 2, 3, 4 and Mini all managed only a score of 2 each.

It seems the Surface RT is a tad easier to open up than its Pro counterpart and received a score of 4.
