New BlueCore laser projectors feature 20,000 hours of lamp life

Midwich to supply world’s first short-throw laser projectors from BenQ

Midwich has singed a supply deal with BenQ, which will see the distributor offer the firm’s full range of projectors.

Included in the range are the BenQ LX60ST and LW61ST, which are the first short-throw education projectors in the world to incorporate the BlueCore Laser technology, with a contrast ratio of 80000:1 and 20,000 hours of lamp life.

Midwich business manager Stuart Mizon said: “We are delighted to be working with BenQ and we look forward to a thriving and successful partnership. BenQ have an established reputation for bringing quality, innovative projectors to the market and their forward-thinking philosophy sits well with Midwich’s own ethos. Their BlueCore Laser range is a perfect example of pushing the boundaries of today’s technology and its short-throw capabilities make it an ideal choice for schools and education establishments.”

BenQ’s UK sales & marketing director Royce Lye commented on the appointment: “It’s an exciting opportunity with ideal timing for BenQ to be partnering with the UK’s leading AV Distributor. Midwich’s position complements our aspirations for continuing the development of Europe’s second largest projector brand within the UK. Our award winning projectors, combined with strong sales channel strategies and excellent service back-up is a close fit to Midwich’s own strengths.”
