Q10 smartphone case is thinner, lighter and stronger than plastic

BlackBerry Q10: The first BB10 smartphone with a physical keyboard

Along with its new OS and the Z10 smartphone, BlackBerry also announced its first BB10 smartphone with a physical keyboard at its launch event today.

Designed to provide what CEO Thorsten Heins called ‘the best typing experience in the industry’, the Q10 has a touchscreen AND that infamous BlackBerry physical keyboard.

So whether you’ve got fat thumb issues or hate the feel of a real keyboard, every BB fan should be satisfied with typing on the Q10.

On the inside, the Q10 features BB10, obviously, and you can check out all the juicy OS features here. On the outside, the smartphone is encased in a material that has been specially designed for BlackBerry and is apparently thinner, lighter and stronger than plastic.

Whilst the BlackBerry Z10 will be available in the UK from tomorrow (Jan 31st), BlackBerry provided few details about the release of the Q10.
