Distributor increases workforce after merger with Realtime

VIP grows team for 2013

Components specialist VIP Computers has made two new hires, as it continues to develop and expand its team.

The appointments come shortly after merging with sister company Realtime and unveiling a £1.6m warehouse expansion.

Frazer Hamilton joins as a product manager. He comes from a strong background dealing with major accounts such as Samsung, Sony and LG where he had a similar role within the distribution sector.

Hamilton said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining VIP. The merger with Realtime, and the expansion of the operation in Warrington shows that in what is a tough time for distribution, VIP is finding the key areas of growth. Its investment to the channel, with close support to its customers and vendors, was one of the main reasons I wanted to join VIP.”

Mindful of the high standards VIP set, Hamilton is keen to bring a fresh eye to the business and further develop the opportunities presented by the new vendors introduced through the merger with Realtime, and he looks forward to contributing to another year of economic growth within VIP Computers.

Also joining the ranks is Amanda Baxter – she has come on board joining the accounts department. Baxter has over six years experience in accountancy, previously working within corporate giants such as Morrison’s PLC Group and Yorkshire Bank.
