Samsung offers first 85-inch Ultra HD TV

The firm has used this year’s CES event to show off the latest ranges heading up its consumer electronics portfolio.

Samsung kicked off the event by unveiling the latest innovations in its home entertainment range, including its first 85-inch Ultra High Definition TV and newest addition to the firm’s flagship Smart TV range, the F8000 LED TV.

The first of it’s kind for Samsung at CES, the 85-inch UHD TV offers up to four times the pixels available on current full HD, 1080p resolution displays, along with the technology to up-scale and convert HD content to a ultra HD content.

In addition to this, Samsung lifted the lid on its F8000 LED TV, which is the firm’s first TV to feature a quad-core processor and is available in a variety of screen sizes, up to 75-inches.

Samsung bolstered its PC range at the event too, with the announcement of the Series 7 Ultra Notebook and Series 7 Chronos.

The Ultra Notebook is designed to offer mobility and performance, packed with a 13.3-inch full HD display with ten-point capacity touch screen, up to 256GB of SSD storage, and is powered by Intel’s latest i-series processors.

Meanwhile, the Chronos offers a 15.6-inch HD touch screen in a chassis that measures just 20.9 millimetres thick, complete with a back lit keyboard and 11-hour battery life.
