Corning set to unveil the newest addition to the Gorilla Glass family

Gorilla Glass 3 heading to CES

Corning has announced it will reveal the latest addition to its Gorilla Glass range at next week’s CES show.

The firm is set to unveil Gorilla Glass 3 at the US tech show, which according to a report by Engadget, is significantly stronger than both of its predecessors – Gorilla Glass 1 and 2.

Native Damage Resistance – another feature produced by Corning – is said to retain strength of glass after knocks and dings, whilst offering increased resistance to scratches and other visual flaws.

The result for users is an increasingly resilient device, with glass up to three times more scratch resistant, 40 per cent less visible scratches and an impressive 50 per cent strength retention after the glass is damaged.

Corning is set to demonstrate and reveal all on the product on January 7th.
