Distributor places serious investment into new facility

VIP seeks channel growth in 2013

VIP Computers, which officially merges with Realtime Distribution on January 1st, has revealed its plans for significant channel expansion in 2013.

Spearheading the plan is the investment of over £1.6million to increase its warehousing capacity in Warrington by 31,000 square foot. VIP’s merger with Realtime Distribution has been a significant driver for the expansion plan, especially as VIP says it will be bolstering its vendor line-up for 2013.

VIP will be welcoming a number of brands in 2013 to its line-up including:

  • Corsair
  • Creative
  • Dust Off
  • Xigmatek
  • Gioteck
  • EVGA
  • Sapphire
  • Gigabyte
  • Gigabyte Peripherals
  • Razer

In addition, VIP Computers has also confirmed that Evolution: The Future of Gaming & IT Technology Exhibition, which it hosted in September will be back for 2013 and even bigger than this years’ event.

VIP reported that the event proved instrumental in assisting customers and vendors to build their businesses, with vendors in general noticing an uplift in business on the back of the event.

Richard Marsden from VIP Computers said: “In 2012 we saw 13 per cent growth in revenue and that trend is continuing. Where most of the industry looks ripe for consolidation, VIP continues to invest in the future with an ongoing commitment to our customers and vendors and the proven ability to deliver real value in distribution.”
