Leading retailer offers heavy discounts across its range of tech products

ASDA leads tech price charge

The supermarket giant has announced a number of price cut across its products as November draws to a close and the season sales period hots up.

Deals extend across ASDA’s entire tech offering, ranging from TVs and laptops, to eReaders, smartphones and digital cameras.

ASDA has adopted an aggressive strategy with its pricing, particularly with the Nook Simple Touch Glowlight eReader, which is being offered for under £100, undercutting competing retailers within the tech market John Lewis, Argos and Currys.

It is also hoping to capitalise on the smartphone and tablet device boom by offering a range of headphones and accessories at discounted prices too.

Andrew Thompson, head of portable media and computing at Asda, said: “Whether it’s a gift for your partner or something for the kids, gadgets will top most Christmas lists this year. These deals offer genuine value for people who want great quality, branded products without the hefty price tag.”

With over 542 stores across the UK, Asda is one of the county’s leading retailers, with over 18 million shoppers per week.
