Random guy selling electronics at a petrol station – what could go wrong?

Woman duped in to buying ‘iPad’ that’s really a mirror

An American woman has been tricked in to paying $200 for a mirror after being convinced it was an iPad.

Apparently, Jalonta Freeman of Arlington in Texas was at a petrol station when a man pulled up and offered her an iPad at a quarter of its retail price – a deal that she duly snatched up.

“He was, like, okay, I gotta hurry up and go and stuff and he drove off,” said Ms Freeman.

However, after he left, she found that the ‘iPad’ was in fact just a mirror with a picture of an iPad taped over the front.
