Google Nexus 4, 7 and 10 go on sale in UK

The Nexus 4 smartphone, Nexus 7 tablet and the Nexus 10 tablet have all gone on sale in the UK.

The Nexus 4 smartphone 8GB model is available from the Google Play store for £239, while the 16GB version costs £279. According to reports, after going on sale at around 8:30am, both versions have already sold out.

The smartphone is the first to ship ready-equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Nexus 7 comes in 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi versions as well as a 32GB 3G/4G model. The seven-inch tablet costs between £159 and £239.

Said to be a rival to the iPad, the Nexus 10 tablet is now available in the UK, costing £319 for the 16GB model and £389 for 32GB of space. Currently, there is no 3G/4G option available. This tablet comes in at about £80 cheaper than Apple’s iPad.

The firm has also launched its Google Play music download store in the UK today, which enables users to buy songs though the app.
