Steam download chart: Left 4 Dead 2 returns to the top

Left 4 Dead 2 has climbed its way back to the top of the Steam charts this week following a resurrgence in downloads during a sale weekend.

The fan-favourite has been available for a heavily discounted price throughout the weekend and gamers have responded by snapping up the zombie-laden survival horror.

Turn-based futuristic RTS XCOM continues to sell well and maintains its popularity amongst gamers, many of whom will be fans of the titles 1994 original UFO: Enemy Unknown.

Borderlands 2 continues to make its presence known in the top five along with sports sim Football Manager 2013.
