Microsoft has released the first video advert for its new Surface tablet.
Premiering in the US last night, the advert focuses on the Surface’s kick-stand and type cover.
Rather than unveiling any specific details about the tablet, Microsoft decided to fill the one minute seven second advert with an awful lot of dancing – no doubt due to the fact that the advert was aired during US reality show Dancing with the Stars.
What we do know about the Surface tablet is that there are two versions – one which has an ARM chip and runs Windows RT, and one with in Intel chipset running Windows 8.
Both tablets have a 10.6-inch screen with a ClearType HD 1920 x 1080 display. The Windows RT model will be available with either 32 or 64GB of on-board memory, and the Windows 8 Pro version will come with either 64 or 128GB or storage.
Both models will be available from October 26th.
