Nokia, HTC, Samsung and ZTE all have Windows Phone 8 devices in the pipeline

Windows Phone 8 to launch on October 29th

Microsoft has started sending out invites for its launch of Windows Phone 8.

Just four days after Windows 8 is scheduled to launch, the smartphone version of Microsoft’s new operating system will be rolled out.

Although details on the events are sparse, and Microsoft has been very tight-lipped about its new operating system, we can expect to see Nokia’s Lumia handsets featured at the launch.

Nokia held a joint event with Microsoft in early September, showing off the latest editions to the Lumia range, including its flagship phone the Lumia 920.

Other manufacturers making Windows Phone 8 devices include HTC, Samsung and ZTE, so we can expect to see them mentioned at the launch as well.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 launch event will take place on October 29th in San Francisco.
