New game sees the pigs stranded on a desert island

Bad Piggies: Angry Birds sequel hits September 27th

Rovio has announced that its Angry Birds sequel will be from the perspective of the pigs.

Last week PCR reported on a teaser trailer released by Rovio, and many people suspected it meant one of two things – a new game based around the pigs, or a TV show/film.

We were right about the pigs, as today Rovio announced that Bad Piggies will be released on iOS, Android, PC and Mac on September 27th.

"There’s a lot of empathy towards the loveable enemies from the Angry Birds games, and we’ve been constantly asked: what about the pigs’ side of the story?" said Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said in a press release. "Bad Piggies gives you the chance to play as the second-most-loved characters in the Angry Birds universe, and explore this rich world through their green eyes."

The new game sees the pigs stranded on a desert island where they have to build vehicles and contraptions to make their way to the bird eggs they seem to love so much.
