Manufacturer invests heavily in UK market

Lenovo launches TV and cinema campaign for latest Ultrabooks

Computer manufacturer Lenovo is driving consumer awareness of its latest Ultrabooks with its first UK TV ad campaign.

The firm launched a global campaign in 2011 with well-known creative agency Saatchi and Saatchi with the tagline ‘For Those Who Do’, focusing on the ‘net-gen’ audience.

Now it’s bolstering its brand awareness in the consumer market with this new series of adverts, which will focus on the colourful U310 and U410 Ultrabooks.

The TV spot is running now in the UK and Northern Ireland from August 15th to 31st, and will then expand to cinemas in the UK mainland from tomorrow until September 14th.

Lenovo’s UK consumer and retail marketing manager, Elif Nergiz, said: “Our ambition as a company is to become the world’s #1 PC company and we can only do that by growing our consumer business. Our brand is strong in many countries in the world but we are investing significantly in the UK to ensure we can really elevate both the Lenovo name and our Idea brand to support the work we are doing with our retail partners to drive sales of our products.”

The TV adverts will feature across the ITV network, Sky, SkyAtlantic, Channel 5, Challenge, MTV, Viva, VH1, FX, Discovery, DMax and Quest, and will be supported by OOH activity from August 20th to September 30th.
