Latest iPhone and iPad Mini both set to be revealed at Apple's September press conference

Verizon denies vacations; iPhone 5 set for September 21st release

An anonymous Verizon employee in the US has confirmed that the company is restricting staff from taking holiday between the 21st and 30th of September.

The ‘trusted’ worker confirmed the announcment to news site Techcrunch.

Whilst this could mean a number of things, it is highly likely to be linked to Apple’s newest device, which is heavily rumoured to be unveiled on September 12th.

It is believed that pre-orders for the new iPhone will be taken as soon as the device is announced, therefore Verizon adopting an all-hands-on-deck approach to the following week would indicate the device’s imminent release.

It would be hardly surprising to see Verizon bolster its staff for the device’s release considering the predicted demand for a new iPhone.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Apple reportedly told its European retailers and resellers to reorganise their tablet stock three months ago, in order to make room for the latest additions in the company’s tablet range.

Another rumoured device scheduled to be announced in September is the iPad Mini – a smaller version of Apple’s popular tablet, which would be more comparable to competing devices on the market, such as Google’s Nexus 7.

Whether either of these devices will make an appearance next month is yet to be determined, but all of the signs are pointing to the release of a whole host of new iOS devices.

Regardless, the Apple rumour mill is only set to spin faster in the coming weeks, right up to the company’s scheduled press conference on September 12th.

Buckle up, the next month is going to be a wild one.
