Carl Manneh reveals profit growth

Minecraft developer Mojang doubles yearly profits

Mojang CEO Carl Manneh has told it24 that the company is on its way to doubling its profits in its second year of business.

Mojang is on course to make more than €14 million this year, compared to €7.2 million last year.

Last year more than three quarters of Mojang’s revenues went to creator Markus Persson’s company Notch Development. A majority of this year’s earnings will go straight to Mojang since the company has official taken over the game’s development.

"Our profits will more than double. Markus’ company will also make more money, though perhaps not as high a percentage as Mojang," commented Manneh.
