iPad Mini rumoured for release on the same day

Apple iPhone 5 tipped for September 21st release

Rumours indicate that the iPhone 5 and possibly the iPad Mini will be released on September 21st.

iMore has reported that sources have confirmed the date for the iPhone’s release, with the announcement taking place nine days before on September 12th.

This site also states that, although a date isn’t confirmed for its announcement, the iPad Mini will also see a September 21st release.

Although there has been no official announcement from Apple, other sites including The Loop, and a Wall Street Journal publication AllThingsD have confirmed that they have received the same information on the release dates.

The iPhone 5 is rumoured to have a 4-inch retina display screen, a smaller charging port and a repositioned earphone port.

According to the rumours, the iPad Mini will feature a 7.85-inch screen with the same retina display as the New iPad. Another rumour is that the iPad Mini will come with a stylus pen. I personally can’t see this happening with an Apple product. Ever.

If the September 21st date is correct, we will see the iPhone 5 launch just 11 months after Apple’s last smartphone, the iPhone 4S.
