Dungeons and Dragons Online unleashes latest expansion

Menace of the Underdark is the free-to-play MMO’s first premium expansion pack that continues the epic Dungeons and Dragons storyline.

The new expansion boasts a variety of new features that players can sink their teeth in to. With it, the game expands into the Forgotten Realms campaign and offers a number of adventure packs such as: The King’s Forest, The Underdark and The Demonweb which sees players adventuring in never seen before locations.

On top of this, players must battle their way to the new level cap of 25 by completing a whole host of new quests as they continue their journey through the vast D&D universe.

A key addition of the expansion is the introduction of the Druid class – a long-awaited addition demanded by the game’s player base. Players will be able to wield nature’s magic or transform into a powerful animal form by playing as the shape-shifting Druid class.

Menace of the Underdark delivers a wealth of content for our players and introduces significant engine upgrades that allow us to bring to life in a striking, visually impressive manner two of the most requested features, the new Druid class and access to the Forgotten Realms setting.” said Fernando Paiz, Executive Producer of Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Dungeons and Dragons Online offers a pricing model that allows players to play the game for free, with the option to purchase adventure packs, items and other premium features – or subscribe in order to access all of the game’s content. The Menace of the Underdark expansion and additional premium content are available now via the DDO online store or Steam.
