Games streaming service OnLive has been bullish at this year’s E3, claiming that it has ‘millions’ of subscribers and now almost 300 games in its portfolio.
It launched two years ago, with a mere 19 games on offer, and some eyebrows were raised as to how well the subscription service could do in the long-term.
On the surface, OnLive is certainly confident and has used E3 to showcase a range of new developments.
It is now available not only on PCs and Macs, but also on TVs, tablets and smartphones, via wired, wireless and even phone networks.
A new deal with LG will integrate OnLive’s game streaming with the Smart TV. An OnLive spokesperson said: "Even better, these are 3D TVs, so once we get a few 3D games and enough TVs in the field, we’ll enable the 3D capability."
OnLive has also confirmed a number of new titles coming soon including:
· Aliens: Colonial Marines
· The Cave
· Darksiders II
· Hell Yeah!
· Hitman: Absolution
· Inversion
· London 2012 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games
· Metro: Last Light
· Ravaged
· Saints Row: The Third: Enter the Dominatrix
· Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Gods & Kings
· South Park: The Stick of Truth
