VIP Computers hires David Wright to manage graphics card category

The Wright kind of VIP

Technology distributor VIP Computers has announced that it’s appointed David Wright to manage its graphics card category.

Wright has a 14-year history in the PC components industry. Most recently, prior to joining VIP, he held a senior position at Resource Development.

Dave Stevinson, VIP Computers’ sales director, said: “The appointment of Wright is a great acquisition for the firm. Wright will be instrumental in assisting our ambitions as we continue to drive sales into the gaming and enthusiast segment. This is a fast moving sector of a fast moving industry, and Wright has the track record and desire to help us dominate this area.”

Wright will focus on graphics cards and VIP says that he will be supported heavily by the chipset manufacturers nVidia and AMD, which both work very closely with the firm. The graphics card partners of VIP are ASUS, Palit and VTX3d.

Wright, who started at VIP Computers last month, commented: “I’m loving my new role at VIP Computers. The company is doing particularly well at the moment and there is an incredible buzz around the place. I’m looking forward to working closely with our vendor partners and supporting VIP’s 2,000 valued resellers and retailers.”
