HP expands partner programme

HP has grown its partner programme to include broader cloud software and services offerings and collaborative tools after conducting a survey among its reseller partners.

Although it pledged to stick with the two-tier programme, the vendor is offer the option for Gold level partners to reclassify as HP experts who will specialise in one of three sectors: cloud builders, cloud resellers and cloud service providers.

In addition to these new subdivisions, it will also offer HP Packaged Consulting Services to qualifying partners, giving them an additional means to increase service revenues. The consultation will take the form of a scripted interaction with clients, which HP has been tested to allow them to identify a clients needs in a structured process.

It will also continue to expand its programme of creating HP Centres of Excellence, whereby a trusted partner is chosen to showcase the very best that its products and services can offer. At this time, there are around 30 centres around the world, a number that HP hopes to increase to 50 by the end of the year.

It also has the HP Interchange in the pipeline, a collaborative tool that is designed to allow partners to confer amongst themselves on advice and best practice.
