Disables add-ons that were installed without permission

Firefox 8.0 released

Browser developer Mozilla has released Firefox 8.0 adding features which Mozilla says makes web browsing easier.

Twitter has been added to the search option in Firefox, allowing hits on new topics, #hashtags and usernames. The browser also loads tabs on demand which results in faster restoring of windows with many tabs.

Firefox 8 also introduces new behavior for third-party add-ons, disabling newly installed browser plug-ins by default. Users will specifically need to choose the add-ons which they want to activate.

Mozilla also released an updated Firefox for Android, adding the ability to create bookmarks on the mobile device’s home screen. The feature is aimed at making HTML5-based web apps as easy to use as native applications.
