Intel has released a new version of the chipmaker’s SSD Toolbox software which allows owners of Intel SSDs to optimise their drive performance and update the firmware to the latest version.
The Intel SSD Toolbox version 3.0 supports a variety of Intel SSDs including the Intel Solid-State Drive 310, 311, 320 and 710 Series as well as the X18-M, X25-M and X25-V drives.
The application provides diagnostic scans and secure erase of SSD drives as well as performance optimisation by using the OS TRIM support.
The tool also provides tips on OS settings in order to improve the performance and power saving benefits of the drives.
