AMD adds five monitor support to Catalyst 11.10 drivers

AMD has released the final Catalyst 11.10 video drivers which include the five monitor support for AMD’s multi-screen Eyefinity.

The new video drivers include an updated EyeFinity that supports 5 x 1 displays connected to a single system in both portrait and landscape modes. The maximum resolution of such a system has been increased to 16000 x 16000 pixels on AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series video cards.

The new Eyefinity also includes monitor bezel compensation to account for the gaps between screens and will now also work even if the monitors have mismatched pixel densities.

Toms Hardware posted some videos of a PC gaming system based on five portrait monitors playing games such as Dirt 3 and Deus Ex Human Revolution.
