Concession within Tottenham Court Rd PC World

Google pushes Chromebooks in London retail launch

Google has opened the internet giant’s first retail store, not in the US but in London’s Tottenham Court Road.

While it’s not really a shop as such, Google’s concession within the TCR branch of PC World will run up to Christmas as the firm markets a range of Google ‘Chromebook’ devices and accessories.

Interestingly the move seems exclusively aimed at launching the lightweight browser-based OS Chrome rather than focusing on other more popular Google products such as Android smartphones.

The 285 square foot concession showed off a number of Chromebook models and featured Chrome branding and a large screen running a promotional display.
