The British budget Android tablet, the 7-inch Andy Pad, has gone on sale with models priced between £129 and £179.
The cheaper Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered tablet is armed with 8GB of flash storage and an 800 x 480 resolution resistive touch screen display.
£50 more buys the Andy Pad Pro with a capacitive multi touch-capable 1024 x 600 touchscreen, rear facing camera, 16GB of storage and Bluetooth capability.
Both tablets come with forward facing cameras, Wi-Fi, HDMI ports and can be expanded to up to 32GB via an SD card slot.
The tablets business represents a new venture from British businessman Andrew Kerry, MD of the mattress specialist Mattressman.
"Android is such a liberal platform with thousands of app developers working every day on new and exciting projects, there’s a whole world of interesting possibilities for consumers, just waiting to be explored," said Kerry.
The tablets are being sold via the Andy Pad site directly with deliveries expected next week.
