Disney Interactive Studio has added another of it’s franchises, The Lion King to it’s soon to be released game Disney Universe game.
It joins the likes of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, DisneyPixar’s Monster’s Inc and WALL E as confirmed elements of the game.
“’The Lion King’ was an animated masterpiece, and certainly one of Disney’s most treasured films,” said Adam Sussman, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. “Fans of all ages will surely enjoy the exploration and adventures that await them in this Disney Universe environment, where they’ll have a chance to revisit some of their favourite scenes and suit up as characters from the movie.”
Players will be able to become the characters from the original film including Simba the lion cub and Pumbaa the warthog, being able to explore around the Pride Lands and the Elephant Graveyard. The Lion King level will involve riding duck vehicles through lava, using seeds and water bombs to grow plants to create platfolms and a final battle stormy battle with Simba’s evil uncle Scar at Pride Rock.
Disney Universe will be available for purchase on October 28th, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Windows PC/MAC.
