The HP Pre 3 smartphone has gone on sale in the UK sim-free and is set to be offered on contract by mobile carrier Orange.
The Orange support page for the WebOS-powered HP Pre 3 also includes a set of full specifications mentioning a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5 MP camera and a 3.6-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
The Pre 3 also features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, something that’s increasingly difficult to find on Android-based devices but which remains popular with the BlackBerry crowd.
However mobile technology specialist Clove Technology is already offering the HP Pre 3 for sale with immediate shipping. Interestingly Clovel ists the processor as a 1.4GHz in line with earlier expectations.
It’s not known if Orange’s specifications reflect a custom model with a slower processor or if the specifications are incorrect.
The 8GB HP Pre 3 is priced at £360 from Clove.
Update: The HP Pre 3 has gone on sale at HP’s European Palm store priced at £299.
